Google Chrome - Multiple User Profiles
I was going to write a blog post about how to manually create multiple user profiles in Google Chrome, and while I have actually successfully done this, I've found a much simpler solution. There is a company called Parhelia Tools that has developed an application that will actually create new profiles for you through a nice GUI (the manual method requires the use of the command prompt).
You can get the tool at the following URL: http://www.parhelia-tools.com/products/gcb/googlechrome.aspx
Clean Dust Off CPU Heatsink
Lately my computer has been making a lot of noise. My computer case is pretty large, it's a full-ATX sized desktop case and has lots of fans. So I'm generally used to quite a bit of fan noise, but it has been peculiarly loud of late. I had some friends over the other night to play some board games and they mentioned that it was really loud. Actually to quote they said, "It sounds like it's going to explode!" That was the last straw. No longer was I going to let my computer ruin my social gatherings.
After observing the computer while it was running I was able to determine that the sound was coming from the fan on my processor's heatsink. I tried to think of why it would be running so loudly and and came to form a speculation.
The Screwtape Letters
Yesterday some of my friends, and my wife and I went to see Max McLean perform in the production: The Screwtape Letters. The Screwtape Letters is a fictional book written by C.S. Lewis consisting of letters written by a high-ranking demon to his demon-in-training nephew. The idea sounds strange at first, but C.S. Lewis does a brilliant job at revealing the severity of our sin and challenging the way Christians think about spiritual warfare and the inner struggle between the regenerated soul and the flesh.
