Certain decisions have drastic consequences. The Jewish leaders crucified the Messiah. Paul closes this section with a prophetic warning: listen to what I have to say or you'll also be on the negative end of prophecy. This tactic is effective as we'll see in tomorrow's passage.

Word of Life had a decent application for today's passage: "It is clear that these types of miraculous healings were limited to the early church, when needs were overwhelming and travel was slow and arduous. with all of our comforts how are we doing at reaching our world for Jesus Christ?"

Sometimes it's a good thing to not trust somebody. Here even the Apostles don't trust Saul, despite his sincerity. Apprehension, when justified, is a helpful tool. Also, if you have a dismal past don't expect to be immediately accepted upon conversion. True repentance and restoration take time.
