Spiritual pride is a big deal to God! I think that He responds so severely here because it's the foundation of the church. This act of deception is death with immediacy and serves as a warning and encouragement to the rest of the church members. Let's avoid similar acts of spiritual pride.

We should be eager and willing to share whenever there is a need, especially for fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord. Seek to not count your possessions as your own, because God is the ultimate owner of all things.

We spent a lot of time speaking about Peter's claim of holding to truth. I really like this. Christians need to be holding truth in very high regard. It is the pinnacle of our belief. Jesus is the truth and we testify concerning Him because we love truth.
