Peter's Arrest and Testimony
Passage: Acts 4:1-12
The power of the pure gospel is a reoccurring theme in the beginning of Acts. It is encouraging to see Peter, who has been somewhat of a spiritual coward until now being changed through the power of the Spirit, having his past failures redeemed by the power of Jesus. This gives hope for us as we also are spiritual failures.

Repentance is the quality of a believer. Christians know the severity, weight, and wickedness of their sin, and more than others, should be quick to speak to God apologizing, confessing, and turning away from their sin. Don't ever remove repentance from the Gospel!

There is a lot, historically, that went into this whole "selling of possessions", but we can be sure that its still important to be giving to those people with genuine needs. The next time you identify a need (as a Christian this skill should come naturally) meet it.
